Earlier this summer, Yohji Yamamoto gave new life to his long running partnership with adidas, introducing two new silhouettes to the Y-3 lineup — the Y-3 AJATU RUN and the Y-3 Qisan Cozy. Alongside these sneakers, Yamamoto also released the Y-3 Runner 4D lOW, which is back again to make a return for Fall.
For its initial release, the ninja-esque adidas Y-3 Runner 4D lOW was debuted in all-black. This time around, the sneaker gets dressed in a grayscale makeup with a tinge of mint green. At first glance, the silhouette is reminiscent of a sock-sneaker, but as you take a closer look, you’ll be able compartmentalize the 2-in-1 feature. The inner neoprene bootie can be removed, forming a classic adidas 4D silhouette. To take things even further, the underlay can be removed from the sneaker silhouette, creating a sporty slipper. The upper is made with all-white mesh and a black statement zipper. Y-3 branding is featured on the side of the sneaker, while the adidas Three-Stripes make their appearance on the inner bootie.
The adidas Y-3 Runner 4D IOW is available now from select retailers like Sneakers n Stuff. The price is set at $489. For more adidas Y-3 releases and updates on all your favorite sneakers, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
