Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, continues to iterate on the brand’s wild 4D cushioning system, trying new materials and configurations with each version. This week, we have a look at the new Y-3 Runner 4D Halo “Core White”, coming soon.
The model features a mix of technical materials throughout the upper. The grey portion is constructed from a large-gauge mesh, meaning lots of breathability. The mesh is reinforced in certain areas with a taped overlay, while the heel and midfoot are supported by a cream white taping layer. Some new additional features, the “Red” Three Stripes on the mid-panel are made from thread and are a nod to archival pairs that featured similar stripes, but by weaving these into the 4D midsole, the pair is also brought into the modern world.
Attached below are detailed photos of the Y-3 Runner adidas 4D Halo in “Core White” that will release at certain adidas stockists and adidas.com in the near future for $450 USD. Check out the official photos below and for all the latest drop dates, head over to our Sneaker Release Dates page.
