It’s official, the adidas Yeezy Boost will release on February 14th in New York City. Coinciding with All-Star Weekend and propelled by the adidas Confirmed App, hopeful shoppers will receive a ping from the app prior to the time of purchase for their chance to reserve a pair. Once reserved, they will be directed based on zip code to pick up a pair from adidas, Foot Locker and Champs Sports stores in New York City, as well as The a Standard adidas x Foot Locker Pop-Up Store on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. In addition, pairs will also be available at the likes of Packer Shoes and Dover Street Market.
While this NYC-only first allocation may read a tad sad to fans in the other 49 states or abroad, it does look based on the store list that these will eventually be quite accessible in the future and in a safe fashion. Previous Kanye collabs were limited to boutiques only and warranted a week of camping out. One would think that with the adidas Confirmed App, these will eventually launch across the country in similar accounts through a similar process.
