adidas’ ZX line originated with rough and rugged athletic silhouettes that were built to live through anything they were asked to do. Taking it to the next level, the adidas ZX 5000 revolutionized the series and raised it to new heights with its lightweight design. Still maintaining its ZX DNA, the 5000 focused more on performance. Rather than falling in line with a durable and outdoorsy personality, this innovator was intended to be a lighter runner that places a premium on comfort. A Polypag foam and synthetic suede upper sits on a Torsion system sole for independent movement and flow. Aesthetically, the 5000 was just as futuristic. This previewed style code places the edgy silhouette in a sleek Black/Red-Yellow makeup that will retro for Spring 2014.
