Most point to the Palace Skateboards x adidas collab as a turning point for the Three Stripes skate division on a much wider scale. And sure, that’s true in terms of a “coolness” factor that many deemed missing prior. But long before that collaboration, adidas Skateboarding was a cultural fixture in the ever emerging skate market.
They further affirmed their solid footing in the booming industry at Agenda Long Beach. Very much a skate centric show as a whole, adidas propelled their budding cool factor with a widely varied partnership with skate staple DGK. Blending function, comfort and style, this collab could easily be among the most visible in skate circles next year.
If that wasn’t enough, adidas Skateboarding is revisiting the Busenitz silhouette in a big way. Both the Vulc and ADV models are prime to take over next spring with premium makeups and bold color concepts. Oh, and did we mention they threw a Boost midsole on the Busenitz? Like Boost has done in running and basketball, this could be huge for adidas moving forward.
Give the adidas Skate Spring 2016 lineup as seen at the Agenda Long Beach showing a look below, and stay tuned for more details on the forthcoming DGK x adidas Skateboarding and Busenitz Boost developments.
