The West Indies Air Force Ones were first released in the summer of 2002 for the West Indian Day Parade in New York. Nike released Puerto Rico Air Force Ones prior to these and were a major hit. An interesting little fact, on the insole of the West Indies Air Force Ones, Grenada is written twice as many times as any other country. Possibly the designer thinks the “isle of spice” is twice as nice as any other place in the Caribbean. 😀
