Newest Partnership: Michael Jordan & Nike
Fresh off of an outstanding career at North Carolina, Michael Jordan would enter the 1984 NBA Draft that would go on to be touted as one of the best classes in league history. With a variety of notable footwear brands seeking Jordan’s services as an endorser, specifically adidas – the famous sneaker broker Sonny Vaccaro helped facilitate one of the largest endorsement deals in history.
As featured within this 2015 ESPN 30-For-30 entitled: Sole Man, Vaccaro would further elaborate how the historic partnership between Jordan and Nike came to fruition.
