Recently, the sneaker world was sent into a stir when Quentin Richardson debuted the Air Jordan 1 “Board of Governors” – a black and blue AJ1 equal parts “Royal” and “fragment” in conception.
With recent releases like the “Top 3” and “Homage to Home” offering collage colorways on Mike’s first model, was this pair to be the next hyped Jordan 1 launch or in reality a Friends & Family PE for those close to Mike? Following a new video from our guy Greg Grovey — Nice Kicks alum and top dog at Kicking it ATX — we’ve learned it’s the latter.
Limited to 88 pairs as Greg notes in the lining, we now know who two of them belong to — the first being Q-Rich and this one going to Earl Thomas.
While Nike and Jordan Brand can be known to tease pairs as PEs then later bring them to the market, there’s no indication that’s what will happen here. In the meantime, big ups to Greg for solving this mystery a day after news broke and make sure to follow Kicking it ATX on IG and YouTube.
