Next week, ahead of the official start of Black History Month in February, Nike and Jordan Brand will release styles from its annual BHM collection. A budding Air Jordan 1 from said offering has surfaced today. But it doesn’t feature Nike Air or a Jumpman logo at the tongue like almost Air Jordan often do.
This particular Air Jordan 1 “Equality” features Carmelo Anthony’s logo at the tongue. Considering a Melo 14 is not currently in the works, and the former Syracuse All-American is currently wearing repurposed iterations of his Melo 1.5 with Flyweave construction on court, this may be the progression of the Melo x Jordan relationship for the foreseeable future.
Layered in white and black to show the two shades equally proportionate – as all things white and black should be – the Air Jordan 1 “Equality” is scheduled to release on January 15 for $145. Grab a look below and share your thoughts.
