It may seem sacrilegious but Jordan Brand will be remastering the iconic Air Jordan 1 by replacing the laces with velcro straps.
The Air Jordan 1 High Double Strap does stay true to original overall though as it still has the same silhouette with a premium leather upper, perforated toe panel and rubber sole unit. But instead of laces, there are two sets of wide velcro straps. Besides for the straps, there is an extended Swoosh logo and mudguard.
Set to release in an all-white and black/white colorway, look for the Air Jordan 1 High Double Strap to be available in the near future and until then, check out pics below.
