North Carolina fans will tell you Michael Jordan has owned Georgetown since he sunk the big game winner in the 1982 National Championship Game. All jokes and bragging rights aside, game recognize game as John Thompson was building young men with big talent in DC just like Dean Smith was in NC.

In the late 2000s, the respected rivals became partners as Jordan Brand formally laced Georgetown’s basketball program with a host of PEs being crafted for the team in both the performance and retro space. However, is it possible Georgetown Jordans go all the way back to 1985?

Pictured above is a shot of a very rare Air Jordan 1 High Georgetown OG. Based in blue and grey leather, the palette is right on cue with Pat Ewing’s famous Terminators from the same era with HOYAS tagging the ankle collar rather than the famous Wings logo.

While the above shoe has released in KO and mid top fashion, a true OG has never released in retro form and certainly not with team tagging. Would you cop if these dropped? Let us know on social.
