Though it’s only January, and much of the coveted sneaker drops haven’t even been announced yet much less released, the Air Jordan 1 has been as visible as just about any shoe early on in 2015. Clearly brought about by the shoe’s 30th anniversary, the latest pair seems to now only commemorate three decades as a dominant presence in sneaker culture but to also to pay homage to the Chinese New Year. Donned in a monochrome Gym Red finish, a combination of tumbled leather and plush suede work the upper while custom Chinese symbols find placement at the tongue, just below the collar, and at the rear. A white mid and clean gum bottom finish the look of what hopes to be the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Chinese New Year” release. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for more details.
