The Air Jordan 1 returned to glory with the introduction of the Air Jordan 1 Retro “Shattered Backboard” that dropped in the summer of 2015. The colorway is an homage to his Airness breaking down the glass with an emphatic dunk as a part of a Nike Europe tour in 1985. Jordan wore an orange, black, and white uniform that was perfectly captured by the silhouette as Jordan Brand added to the legacy of the man himself.
Since 2015, the Shattered Backboard saga continues to grow with the most recent addition being the glossy Air Jordan 1 “SBB 3.0” that released in October of 2019. As we approach the five year anniversary of the OG SBB, this upcoming pair draws on the familiar colorway scheme. The Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG “Electro Orange” adopts the same colorblocking as the classic AJ1 “Black Toe” iteration worn by Jordan himself. That said, we don’t have definitive confirmation that this is the SBB 4.0 so be sure to keep updated!
The shoe encompasses the iconic OG cut as black laces, a black swoosh, and the black toe come together. The signature orange hue lands on the outsole, collar, and heel of the upcoming pair. Rounding off the pair is a clean white on the majority of outer upper panels, while also being found on the midsole of the pair.
Be sure to stay ready as the shoes drop July 17th via nike.com, SNKRS App & other select retailers. Stay tuned to our Air Jordan release dates page for more information on upcoming drops.
