The Air Jordan 11 continues to be a dominant member of the Jordan Brand lineage. The low iteration is no different. The upcoming Air Jordan 11 Low “Legend Blue” is an ode to a classic colorway — the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” which was later relabeled as the “Legend Blue” colorway. His Airness famously wore the high-top version during the 1996 All-Star Game. Now, this upcoming AJ11 Low celebrates the iconic colorway.
The “Columbia” Air Jordan 11 saw its first retro release just five years after its debut in 2001 and again at the end of 2014 when it carried the new “Legend Blue” colorway label. A trivia-fact many don’t know is that the shade of blue got its name from Columbia University’s athletics department which Nike had a relationship with in 1996 and 2001, but was no longer outfitting at the time of the 2014 release and thus the name swap.
The upcoming pair will mirror its predecessor with an icy bottom, blue detail on the lace structure, a black inline, and an all-white leather upper. This marks the first time that the “Columbia” (aka “Legend Blue”) colorway of the Air Jordan 11 has made its way to a low-top following the Concords, Cool Grey, and Playoffs (aka “Bred”) that received the hair-cut in prior years.

Expectedly, pairs sold out from retail stores fairly quickly but fans will be happy to hear that the pair will be restocking tomorrow, May 28th, at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Releasing at 10 AM EST, the pair will be available for $185.
