Nike yesterday reported fiscal earnings for third quarter 2017. In the overview, they reported increased revenue up 5% to $8.4 billion. But most noteworthy was the performance of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” last December, now championed as Nike’s biggest sneaker release ever.
Surpassing the 2015 release of the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” (which previously held said crown), Nike Brand president Trevor Edwards remarked that “The Space Jam 11 was the largest and most successful shoe launch in the history of Nike.”
The shoe itself, with “45” at the heel and bearing a $220 price tag, will undeniably be hard to be beat this year. What does Nike have up their sleeve this holiday season? Our hope is something great.
