A couple of weeks ago, we listed the best Air Jordan 12s of all time and hinted at the 2016 release of the famed “Flu Game” Air Jordan 12, but today we have a first look at the upcoming retro Jordans.

This Air Jordan 12 is one of the most iconic of the retro lineup with a story that is something that seems like it was scripted for a Hollywood film. In Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, Michael Jordan woke up with flu-like symptoms. The source of the illness later came under dispute with many pointing to food-poisoning caused by bad pizza the night before the game. Whatever caused MJ to feel sick, he was sick. Despite the illness, Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to a pivotal Game 5 victory to tip the 2-2 series in favor for the Bulls 3-2. Putting up 38 points and 11 boards, MJ was photographed in an iconic snap with Scottie Pippen helping his Airness off the court at the end of the game. His performance while playing ill would earn them the nickname the “Flu Game” Air Jordan 12.

The actual pair that Michael Jordan wore in the Flu Game recently sold at auction for $104,765 – a figure that some in the sports memorabilia world are calling a great price.

Arriving in stores at the end of May, the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” will hit retail stores priced at $190.  Fans of the iconic colorway of the Air Jordan 12 had their last shot at these in 2009 with a nubuck upper and added emojis.  This time around; however, Jordan Brand keeps it true to the OG with a full leather upper across the Air Jordan 12.

Will you be grabbing these when they come out in May?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below if these are a cop or drop.
