Back in September of 2014, the Air Jordan 14 “Ferrari” first stepped onto the scene and instantly became an icon. Almost 10 years later, we get to take a closer look at how the sneaker came to be with the Air Jordan 14 “Alternate Ferrari” Looksee Sample.
Inspired by the Ferrari 550M, this Air Jordan 14 has a rich “Gym Red” upper to match the luxury sportscar’s iconic color. The model that came to fruition in 2014 had a single smooth suede panel on each side of the sneaker. This alternative silhouette shows a more dynamic structure with a ribbed upper that was used on the Air Jordan 14 “Candy Cane” and Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot.” Another notable difference is the midsole, which is made with a rubberized semi-metallic charcoal color that has a slight gloss to it. To complete the look, this sneaker has a flat grey shank plate, while the released model has a shank plate with a chrome finish.
