It seems like just yesterday that our own Nick DePaula reported that Chinese basketball star Guo Ailun would be getting his own JB signature shoe. In reality, it was over a year ago.
As time flies, so does the rising hooper from the Far East. While a sig is still on the horizon, the Air Jordan 33 Guo Ailun PE sees the young talent’s first release at retail.
Getting his own initials on an Air Jordan signature, the fact that these will actually drop in stores puts him in the same category as Russell Westbrook, Dwyane Wade and few others.
Guo’s logo lends itself to the tongue of the shoe much like other PE pairs we’ve seen, with island green scoring the silo. Mandarin characters mark the model with the phrase “What the mind wants, the body will follow.” Our guess? The mind wants buckets.
Sadly for Stateside fans, this pair is exclusive to Asia. Look for these to land in Greater China on November 11th.
