Jordan Brand surprised everyone today with a preview of their upcoming spring 2016 collection. Featuring a wide array of JB silhouettes including the Air Jordan 2 and the uniquely styled Air Jordan 5 Low, among the many things that caught our eye was the Air Jordan 4.
If you look closely, a few design differences are noted between sample pairs and what will likely be inline releases. On the Air Jordan 4 specifically, we noticed in the above image that the left shoe has a leather tab and leather wings and its counterpart on the right does the same aesthetically, but in plastic/rubber. Upon further investigation, we were able to confirm that the shoe on the right, with the plastic/rubber tab, will be the iteration to see a general release – the leather option looks to be sample that didn’t make it to production.
Historically rubber/plastic tabs were featured on the OGs, while leather made its debut on early retro releases. Sound off below and share your thoughts on this Air Jordan 4 and all the upcoming launches from Jordan Brand’s Spring 2016 preview.
