The Air Jordan 5 “Take Flight”, which releases next weekend on February 11, will retail for $400 USD.

Although the shoe doesn’t carry the premium “Pinnacle” moniker, it does manage the price point those shoes tend to maneuver. It’s also alone in this cost, as the Air Jordan 8 and Air Jordan 15 Retro from the “Take Flight” series didn’t exceed the $200 mark.

But this increase in cost doesn’t come without warrant. For the first time ever, the Air Jordan 5 features a wrapped leather midsole to correspond with its militaristic leather upper. What’s more, the mesh inserts at the paneling are gone in lieu of laser perforated ventilation. A Vachetta Tan tongue is the most intriguing addition to the shoe.

Take a closer look at the Air Jordan 5 “Take Flight” below and let us know if you’re willing to cop a pair at $400 retail.
