Turning to the very first retro release of the Jordan Spizike for inspiration, the much-anticipated debut of this Spike Lee-inspired Air Jordan 6 is in production. Stepping away from the norm where a model from MJ’s signature line is the inspiration to a secondary silhouette, the Air Jordan 6 “OG Spizike” is no supporting actor. Paying tribute to famed director Spike Lee and his 40 Acres and a Mule production company, this AJ 6 is set in the all-red styling that has recently proven to be one of the most successful trends in footwear. The tones from the inaugural Spizike are amplified to produce an upper that is drenched in varsity red, contrasted by black and green accents, and finished off with a white midsole and ice blue outsole. Celebratory detailing is seen on the inner lining, which is printed with similar graphics as the Air Jordan XX, which was created at the same time as Spike Lee’s signature shoe. Get an official look at the Air Jordan 6 “OG Spizike” by scrolling down, and poise yourself for a pair when they drop for $170 on August 9th.
