Following OVO and Valentine’s Day releases earlier this year, Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 8 is back on the calendar for fall with a colorway that orbits the “South Beach” aka “Pre-Heat” theme first seen on the Nike LeBron 8 back in 2010.
Although Michael Jordan never suited up for the Miami Heat as LeBron James did, the team, in 2003, retired his number 23. In an ode to his career accomplishments and contributions to the game of basketball, the Heat became the only team not named the Chicago Bulls to retire the number 23 for Michael Jordan.
That, in part, could have something to do with this Air Jordan 8 “South Beach” release on October 13. The shoe isn’t officially dubbed the “South Beach” but the color combination on top of the white leather base is unmistakable. The shoe will retail for $190.
