The latest sneaker from Michael Jordan’s personal signature line now has a set release date. Both inaugural editions of the Air Jordan XX9 are slated to debut Jordan Brand’s newest innovative technology leading into the upcoming basketball season. Introducing a performance woven upper for a sock-like fit, the XX9 takes the line to new heights in the materials department, as well as upgrading the popular Flight Plate. The intertwined body features different levels of support and give for superior fit in lightweight fashion. Flight Web channels allow such variance in structure, while a sock-styled lining caters to breathability. The woven upper also offers aesthetic ability, serving as a blank canvas for detailed imagery and innovative colorways. The first two will release at the end of the summer before the season, with the black and red elephant-printed design on September 3rd and the Russell Westbrook-preferred black and team orange pair on September 13th, with both pairs retailing for $225.
