Earlier this spring, famed New York designer Alexander Wang debuted his budding Boost-enabled collection with adidas Originals. Alongside avant-garde basketball sneakers, Wang debuted the AW Run, a progressive runner cushioned with full-length Boost and a plethora of plush materials.
Encased in suede overlays that act as the baseline for the lacing system, a breathable mesh upper is simplistic yet fresh while Wang pulls further inspiration from heritage with a tongue similar to the piece that anchors the Stan Smith. The shoe’s greatest achievement, though, is its extended sock-like collar matched with a pull mechanism at the heel adjoined with a aforementioned lacing structure, which is covered by a smooth suede patch.
The Alexander Wang x adidas AW Run releases in two new colorways this weekend on April 15. Take a look at them both below and expect stock at select Originals stores.
