Way before Countdown Packs, hashtags or Subaru Hatchbacks, the Air Jordan 10 “City Series” aimed to carry on the AJ lineage while its figurehead was on a baseball sabbatical. Orlando, New York, Seattle, Sacramento, and Chicago colorways tied to teams and players in each locale, while a pair with Charlotte colorway characteristics (like the Chicago pair) launched nationwide. From the colorways to the OG endorsers, you can get a quick history here.

Today, The Shoe Game reports that a sequel to the Air Jordan 10 “City Series” will launch in 2016, this time offering New York, Chicago, Charlotte and Los Angeles colorways. For fans at home, the OG “New York” 10s have never re-released while the OG “Chicago” and “Charlotte” iterations have both returned. One would imagine new schemes for said shoes while an LA take could cater to the Clippers due to the CP3 and Blake Griffin connection.

While this is cool from a colorway/collecting standpoint, what’s perhaps even more exciting is that these are all said to be regional exclusives, meaning you’ll have to live near said cities to have a chance at getting said colorways. Obviously the internet will allow wearers to buy/sell/trade, but it will bring back somewhat of a hometown pride/local exclusivity that’s been lost as uniformed allocations have changed the game.

Let us know your hopes for the Air Jordan 10 “City Series” II in the comments section. Back in 2012, we called for exactly this and made Photoshop colorways to coincide. You can see our imagined versions from then here.
