Under Armour, in a continued effort to cement themselves as the leader in collegiate sporting apparel, strikes a new 15-year deal with UCLA worth an estimated $280 million.
This new deal, reported first by ESPN’s Darren Rovell, is now the largest in college football history.
This move by Under Armour positions them above recent deals between Nike and Ohio State, the University of Texas and Michigan with Jordan Brand, respectively. Each of those deals upped the financial ante that have now been surpassed by UA and UCLA. The runner-up is Ohio State’s 15-year deal worth $252 million.
Prior to this new deal, UCLA has been sponsored by adidas since 1999.
