This ASICS EX89 Pays Homage to the “Celtics”

Thanks to Ronnie Fieg, ASICS’ EX89 is revisiting its heyday. The silhouette, which is inspired by ASICS’ archival GEL-Extreme from the late 80s, has now resurfaced in a “Celtics”-inspired colorway.

Along with pairs dedicated to the “Lakers” and “Knicks”, this ASICS EX89 “Celtics” features the same white leather base and silver mesh tongues. Differentiating itself from other colorways is its Celtics green and black hits found on the profile Tiger Stripes, liner, eyestays, and outsole. The pair is rounded off with double-stitched seams and “ASICS” branding on the tongues, heels, and rear midsole.
