ASICS has found itself at the epicenter of the sneaker community, thanks to numerous collabs from KITH and others and the growing popularity of trainers. The Japanese footwear company has found its pace as the label learned from past projects as it applies to its mainline of sneakers.

This ASICS GEL-Lyte III pays homage to the winter months, while the second piece in the set honors the spring. In an ensemble of Wood Crepe and Storm Brown, the silhouette tells a story behind the changing of the seasons in the Japanese culture. ASICS branding appears on the its usual spots while the Japanese symbol for winter (“Fuyu”) is emborided onto the tongue. A hang tag explaining the transition from winter (“Fuyu”) to spring (“Haru”) offers the finishing touch.

The ASICS GEL-Lyte-III “Winter” releases on September 9 at select retailers and ASICS for $130. Until then, check out the images below and hit up our Sneaker Release Page for more updates on the latest drops. Keep it locked at Nice Kicks for more news on the sneaker industry.
