Tokyo’s atmos joins with PUMA to place a Far East spin of the NYC centric Clyde, a shoe designed for one of the most stylish basketball players in league history – Walt “Clyde” Frazier.
In conjunction with ichibay from Three Tides Tattoo, Tokyo’s foremost tattoo artistry collective, the sneaker originated in 1973 is reimagined with tattoo design cues at its center courtesy of a Japanese wave pattern. The shoe is further steeped in Japanese culture through the ukiyo-e genre of art or woodblock prints and paintings that reached its influential height in Japan within the 17th and 19th centuries.
This wildly expressive atmos x PUMA Clyde “Three Tides Tattoo” is set to release on November 12 for $120 at shops like Sneaker Politics.
