How would Nike follow up the success of the ?McFly? Hyperdunk? The clear choice seemed to be the Nike Hypermax. A spot on sample in the famous colorway had sneakerheads salivating at the potential of a release bigger and wider spread than the Hyperdunk. All systems seemed a go until the shoe was cancelled seemingly out of nowhere. While word was not made official, it was heard that Universal Studios were not fond of the shoes likeness to the Air Mag. Because these were not an official collaboration with the studio they were scrapped, although a few pairs ironically landed on eBay. Were they shattering our hopes of future McFlys or saving up for something better?
