A Bathing Ape creates a new space to celebrate the brand’s streetwear and aesthetics with the new BAPE Cafe in Hong Kong. Since its inception in 2002, BAPE has expanded its offerings to clothing, sneakers, accessories, home goods, art, and more. The new BAPE Cafe expands the Bathing Ape universe even further as it gives BAPE fans the full lifestyle experience with luxe dining atmosphere.
The first BAPE Cafe opened in Shanghai and is now at its new Harbour City, Hong Kong location. The BAPE Cafe is an innovative shop-in-shop concept that uses the store’s 2,780 square footage to its maximum potential with a shopping and dining experience.
From wall-to-wall, the experience is dressed with iconic BAPE themes like the brand’s signature camo and Ape faces. The location has a minimalist futuristic aesthetic with silver-plated SHARK SEIJIN sculptures and a gold-plated camouflage sneaker wall in the center of the store.
As you shop, you can wander into the BAPE CAFE where you’ll find a bar and multi-person dining area. The booths are complete with BAPE Modernica Fiber Shell camouflage, Line Camo frosted stainless steel, and ABC camouflage sofas. Visitors of the BAPE Cafe can attain collectable punch cards to remember the experience.
You best bring your Ape appetite to the BAPE Cafe as the dining concept offers a full range of dishes spanning starters, mains, snacks, desserts, and drinks. The menu is East-meets-West as the flavor palette combines Western and Japanese specialities.
Each plate is complete with eye-catching presentation and signature BAPE finishes. One of the most in-demand items is the BAPE Burger which features unique Ape packaging. Other popular menu items include the Grilled Prime American Rib Eye Steak, Japanese Curry Pork Chop Rice, Pepperoni Pizza, Crispy Golden Truffle Fries, and the classic Seared Tuna Nicoise Salad.
The Hong Kong location has special menu items such as Miso Silver Cod with Mashed Potatoand Creamy Lobster Linguine with Scallops. You can also order from a series of Japanese-style Yakitori. There is a range of skewered delights on offer from chicken with chives, grilled eel, pork, beef tongue, and even green jade melon.
For dessert, diners can dive into sweet coffee and milkshakes, or the indulgent BAPE Hazelnut Chocolate Cake and the BAPE Ice-Cream Waffle.
