Damian Lillard and adidas today officially announce its partnering release with Japanese streetwear mainstay BAPE. Lillard, a longtime fan of BAPE and an admirer up close when he visited their Tokyo flagship during the adidas Asia tour back in 2015, sees his affinity for the brand come full circle next week when his fourth signature shoe gets outfitted in BAPE camo.
Mulling the idea of a collaboration since that trip three years ago, the collection takes inspiration from BAPE’s famed shark design and the elements that surround it. Produced in green, red and black colorways, signature camouflage blankets the silos mid cut upper while the aforementioned shark teeth add definition to Bounce midsole tooling. Dame’s performance shoe is balanced with contemporary lifestyle sensibility, giving it uniqueness and multidimensional appeal few other collaborations own.
All three BAPE x adidas Dame 4 colorways will release on February 16 in Los Angeles at 747 Warehouse St. Pairs are priced at $150 each. 747 Warehouse will open on Friday, February 16 at 2pm and again on Saturday, February 17 at noon.
