Each year on April 15th, baseball honors one of its most historic figures, Jackie Robison, who became the first African-American to compete in Major League Baseball. For the 66th Anniversary of this illustrious achievement, Jordan Brand supplied a few of their athletes, including?CC Sabathia, Jimmy Rollins and Carl Crawford, with special Jordan 6 Rings PEs dressed in Dodger blue with Robinson’s “42” embroidered on the heel. Unfortunately, there aren’t any images of Jimmy in action wearing these cleats, but he managed to share a picture via Instagram preceding the game. Also, in the absence of CC’s Yankees having a game yesterday, he decided to allow a lucky fan the chance to win his pair. Check out images of Carl below rocking these celebratory cleats one of baseball’s honorary nights.
