Inspiration: DaDa Spinning Rims
Ok, the DaDa Spinners weren’t actually inspired by an exotic car but even PJ Carlesimo would want to see these sneakers on the list. In the early 2000s, Latrell Sprewell had everybody (ok, not everyone) riding spinners on their whips. A year later his spinning success caught the attention of many including DaDa Footwear. Both sides hooked up and created a sneaker line derived from Latrell’s success dubbed the DaDa Spinnahs. These sneakers were influenced by gas shocks used in cars and featured a quarter panel rim that actually spins as you walk and/or run.
