Last year ASICS teamed up with BEAMS and mita sneakers for a collaborative Gel-Lyte III “Souvenir Jacket” in black, an ode to the adoring Japanese staple design that saw a resurgence largely via menswear aficionados over the past 18 months. Now, as a follow-up, they’ve teamed up again to release a similar pair in navy.
Densely coated in a rich suede fabrication that blankets the split tongue silhouette, embroidery marks the heel while contrast sidestriping hits the paneled portion. “Japan” also finds placement at the heel in ode to the region where the jacket rose to fame and the three brands call home.
