Dazzled in detail, highlighted by history, the Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 “Redbird 7 Train” by Kal Seth finds inspiration from the iconic R33 WF train car commonly known as “Redbirds.” Hailing from the ’60s, these ran for the NYC 7 line subway up until 2003. The final trip took place on November 3rd of that year in which this shoe’s designer was actually a passenger.
Deriving from the 9309 7 Train, the shoe sports a dark red canvas upper with black canvas hitting the back tab to resemble the hood. Violet number 7s represent the line color, while wolf grey suede on the tongue plays to the top of the subway train. The start and end stations are displayed on the tongue text.
Adding even more inspiration, beige camel hair and buttery dark grey leather reflect the floor and seats of the 9309, with black leather deubres also adding homage. Check out detailed shots of these awesome Bespoke Air Force 1s below.
