Air Jordan 1 “Birmingham Barons”
With the aforementioned Air Jordan 1 “Opening Day” collection paying homage to MJ’s time within the Minor Leagues, the Air Jordan brand decided to rekindle the idea in 2014 as it marked the 20th anniversary of Michael’s famous venture to baseball. The Air Jordan 1 “Birmingham Barons” employs the traditional colorway of the Chicago White Sox’s minor-league affiliate while keeping an aesthetically pleasing silhouette. Grey, Black and White are seen throughout the upper, in addition to pinstriped detailed laces, which seem to be a theme of baseball-inspired kicks.
