As the NBA Playoffs continue on into the month of May, yesterday’s schedule offered up two Game 7 matchups to close out the opening round — with very different results.
Led by DeMar DeRozan’s 30-point shootout, the Toronto Raptors advanced on to the 2nd Round for the first time since 2001, by closing out a close matchup with the Indiana Pacers. Down south in Miami, the Heat’s win-or-go-home contest with the Charlotte Hornets was a blowout from the tip, with Miami cruising to a 33-point win.
Throughout the day, we saw the Jordan-laden Hornets pull out several PEs, while the Raptors once again mixed it up with all kinds of great variety. In Oakland, the Warriors used Klay Thompson’s hot start in his newest Anta KT1 to carry themselves to a convincing Game 1 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
