Recently, adidas gave Black Cobain the opportunity to do three custom kicks to be shown in promotion of Berlin Fashion Week. After enlisting Nyrik Lee for his design duties, the two collaborated on the adidas Stan Smith, adidas Superstar 80s and adidas ZX Flux silos.

The Stan Smith “AKA Anatomy Projects” Custom finds Nyrik at the source of the inspiration, plugging his fashion line while saluting a sorority. The pink and green color combo represents that of the AKA house, while maroon accents add depth. Switching styles, the Superstar 80s “Jungle Love” Custom makes the most of material choices on the most classic of adidas models. Black cobra skin swatches the upper, while pony hair striping and pink threading provide contrast. Lastly, the ZX Flux “Charlottesville” Custom takes it back to school, paying homage to the University of Virginia and thus Cobain’s home state. “VA2LA” tagging appears on the latter two customs, representing Cobain’s recent move. Peep the customs in detailed photos by Brian Willette below.
