Plenty would argue that LeBron James is the best player within the NBA; and honestly has been for sometime now. And as his star status continues to reach unforeseen heights, it seems as though the various brands he endorses are in favor of his acts as well. This couldn’t have been documented any more distinctly than with the news dropping of LeBron inking a lifetime deal with Nike.
As of 2015, this is the first contractual “lifetime” agreement between Nike and any endorsers, per ESPN’s Darren Rovell. Although many would consider Michael Jordan to be one, his deal is merely a “de facto” agreement as expounded upon below. All in all, this deal pretty much assures a line of retro releases of the Nike LeBron James series in which us sneakerheads have long coveted a retail return, with such models including the Nike Air Zoom Generation.
