A rat doesn’t sound like the best animal to use for sneaker inspiration, but Nike and Reebok both made it work. Kids were treated a special edition of the Vandal Low, though a playful mouse was substituted. Think more Stuart Little and less sewer rat. More hybrid kicks released too, with the Wildwood showing Free Trail and Air Max 90 elements. Both “mouse” and “rat” colorways dropped. Reebok made its first mark on the category with its classic Pump Omni Lite, as well.
