Without a doubt, 2010 resulted in more releases than any other year, and even more brands got involved. Given the automatically cool effect that tiger stripes have on most anything they touch though, it makes perfect sense. Nike, Reebok and newcomer Converse all released special editions. The Star Chevron gave all of its classics makeovers, from numerous Chuck Taylors to the Weapon collection. The winner may have been Nike though, thanks to the unique box designed for the Cortez that featured an opening meant to be grabbed by a tiger’s claw.
