In the time since the sneaker resale market rose to prestige, the perception about after market sales has been flawed to say the least. Not every hyped release triples its retail cost and actually sells on eBay, and Yeezys certainly aren’t going for $15k on a weekly, monthly or even annual basis. Campless recently shed some light of this disillusioned theory highlighting the best of the best in the sneaker resale market. Tracking sells from January 2014 to March 2015, Campless intently keys on shoes that sold for over $500+ following their retail release. And to the surprise of many, only 14 pairs of sneakers over the past 15 months have actually accomplished that feat. And even those haven’t sold in the numbers you’d expect.
