New Balance and Casablanca have continually developed their partnership, focusing on patterned designs across silhouettes like the 327 and 237. Now, the dynamic duo is slated to collaborate on a highly anticipated new silhouette: the XC-72. The two will focus on colorways inspired by world-class car design, with focus on the exotic cars seen decorating Monaco’s bustling roads.
The XC-72 is another sport style silhouette that fans are sure to enjoy, combining a split-sole unit and sleek body upper. From first glance, it seems that the silhouette has taken design elements from the 327 and placed it atop a more rugged, three-tread style sole. Inaugural colorways include the Casablanca inspired orange & green colorway and a new red and yellow colorway. The latter’s black outsole unit remains reminiscent of racing tires.
Look for the limited edition Casablanca x New Balance XC-72 Collaboration to launch exclusively on Casablanca’s site on August 27 with the New Balance global launch on August 28 for a retail price of $150.
