I was thinking of putting a foot note to this article, but really, this needs to be said before going into the details.

This MUST stop.  We can do better.

“We” is not just referring to the sneaker community and sneakerheads, but society as a whole.  A violent, armed, robbery in plain daylight just illustrates how much more we need to do as society.  This is truly a heartbreaking thing to watch, and all I can think of is how awfully terrorizing and scary it must have been for the victim.  Our thoughts are with him and his family.

If ANYONE knows ANYTHING or recognizes ANYONE, it is your duty as a human being to contact authorities.  No neighborhood is safe and no city can remain calm with attacks like these.  You’re urged to call Cleveland Police at (216) 623-5464.

One of the assailants appears to be wearing metallic gold sneakers.

A motive is not known, but frankly it does not matter.  Whether or not this was an attempt to steal someone’s shoes or otherwise, these violent attacks need to stop.

Once again, our thoughts are with the victim and his family.
