As street-chic continues to steal the runways of today’s most prominent luxury labels, sneaker renditions seem to be popping up from some of the best names in the high fashion industry. Céline designer Phoebe Philo has been reshaping the luxury house, and she is reinforcing the sneaker obsession with the Skate Slip-On. The style has been offered in some of the most luxurious materials available, including pony astrakhan calfskin and leopard-printed calf hair.
The Spring/Summer 2014 collection is currently offering the Skate in brushed calfskin, satin, and python (all pictured below). Every pair is completed by a signature white leather sole and black trimming. The brushed calfskin offers a patent look and feel on blue and yellow options. Finally, the satin proposes a sleek, rich royal blue color, while the crystal coated rusted python is stunning with a sheen appeal to the eyes.
More casual options, such as orange and white canvas and a black, white and red fabric, are also available. Retail for the Skate Slip-On begins at $745, but prices vary based on materials.
