Converse pays homage to a legendary graffiti artist on the Chaz Bojorquez x Converse Chuck Taylor. Bojorquez is known for working around East Los Angeles while rocking the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi. The tribute sneaker uses the Converse 1970s Chuck Taylor as the base model to stay true to the era in which the artist flourished. Premium midnight black premium canvas drapes the majority of the upper. Hits of black suede cover the heel counter, lace eyelets, and toe box. Black woven laces continue the throwback feel of the shoe, while the top to lace eyelets are constructed of silver metal, hexagonal shaped openings. Special features include Bojorquez’s signature skull and bones woven on the tongue label, and a custom insole that depicts him working through the night. Bojorquez’s signature is stitched in white threading down the heel spine, and the shoe is finished with a pronounced white rubber sole. The Chaz Bojorquez x Converse Chuck Taylor will be available beginning Friday, June 28 at select retailers, including shopnicekicks.com.
