All things considered, the Air Jordan 17 Low was a well received release back around the turn of the century, getting on-court endorsement from Michael Jordan as a member of the Wizards. Less expensive and more wearable than its silver suitcase toting midtop, the shoe released in three colorways of the “University Blue,” “Black” and “Lightning” varieties.
According to Oregon Sole, there could’ve been one more. This Grey/Red sample hails from 2000, sporting a tumbled leather upper in grey with red accenting the bootie and midsole. These might have gotten some burn from Mike on court with the Bullets throwback jerseys, but sure would’ve fit right in with JB’s velour jumpsuits of said era.
