Nice Kicks: Do you appreciate shoes even more now that you’re able to partake in the design?
Chris Paul: Definitely. I think what really allows me to appreciate the shoe, is when I had the opportunity go over and see where the shoes were made. So I got to see the sole and shoestrings being put in my shoes. That right there made me speechless about the situation.

Nice Kicks: Do you have a favorite on court and off court sneaker in the Air Jordan series?
Chris Paul: My favorite on-court shoe might be the Air Jordan XX3. My favorite off-court is probably the Air Jordan XIII or the Air Jordan XI.

Nice Kicks: Is there a shoe you haven’t been able to get that you’re hunting for?
Chris Paul: I had the XIIIs stolen away from me when I was in the 6th grade but I got them back.

Nice Kicks: Defining moments has been a theme that Jordan has used in a lot of campaigns. If you were to pick three defining moments of your career, what were they and what shoes were on your feet when you accomplished these moments?
Chris Paul: The first one was when I scored 61 points in high school. We had these white, forest green Nike team shoes. The second is probably my first playoff game. I was wearing my CP1s against Dallas in New Orleans. The third one will have to be the gold medal games in the Olympics. I was wearing the XX3s then.
