Air Jordan II Crocodile

Upon our introduction of the Air Jordan II “Crocodile,” most of you were none too flattered and that’s putting it euphemistically. We now have some clearer images and a bit more information that may, perhaps, sway your sentiments.

The focal point of the shoe, the red wax seal, was enigmatic upon first sight. We now, however, have a fitting hypothesis concerning its purpose. It is common practice in the cigar industry to wax seal and number cigar batches or bins-to use the industry lexicon. We all know MJ is fond of stogie chewing. And the “Bin 23” imprinted seal embraces this cigar labeling practice with a nod to Jordan’s number. Not to mention, the mostly brown shoe is of a cigar hue.

We can’t be assured of this hypothesis’ validity until it’s confirmed by Jordan brand. But, if it is indeed their intention, it fulfills one of the brand’s core values-to create footwear that exudes the persona of Michael Jordan. Flip the post for more pictures.
